"Apple and cinnamon go together like____" umm.. idk. I really cannot think of anything which goes together apple and cinnamon. Anyways, the following recipes are very dear to me and i absolutly feel lovely writing them down for you guys.

Apple Pie

Ingredients:

2 apples

Butter

Sugar

All purpose flour

Cinnamon powder

Chopped Nuts

Time: 30 mins-1hr

Method:

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water and sugar, and bring to a boil. Reduce temperature and let simmer. Add in the cut apples and stir for sometime. You could add cinnamon at this point itself.

  • Now, for the crust, take 2 cups of flour and add 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tbsp sugar, 3-4 cubes of butter, 1/2 cup of all-vegetable oil (8 Tbsp. Add water accordingly to make the pastry dough.

  • Next, spread in the dough in the pie tray. Put the apple mixture in the tray and evenly spread out to fill it out completely.

  • Cut out strips of the remaining dough and decorate it however you like it. I personally love the basket or grid pattern.

  • Bake in the oven for about 30-45 minutes. Keep cheching in between. If the top portion has become brown, take it out and it is readyyyyyy.

Apple crumble

Ingredients:

1 apple

Cinnamon powder

Butter

Sugar

Oats

Flour

Time: 15mins

Method:

  • Toss the cut apples with the 4-5 tbsp sugar and 1tbsp cinnamon and put it aside.

  • Mix flour and 6-8tbsp sugar in a bowl and slice in the butter and rub it in with your fingertips until the mixture looks like moist breadcrumbs. (P.S: Shake the bowl and any big bits will come to the surface – rub them in. I usually pulse it in a processor because it is much more easy)

  • Pour the crumb mix over the apples layer wise. Starting with the apples layer.

  • Sprinkle the oats on top and a little bit of sugar(for the extra crunch) and oh cinnamon too.

  • Put it in the oven for 5-10 mins anddddd you’re doneeeee.

P.S: you could also put bits of plum to nutralise the sweetnees a little.

Have it with vanilla ice cream for a mind blowing experience.

When I started baking my so called brownies turned out to be very cake like. But seeing the brownies available in the market or the pictures on any social media platform, I was a little dissatisfied. But then I figured that there are types of brownies: cakey, fudgey and chewy.

Easy and quick to make appetizers for you.

There are many options to explore from in appetizers. Since its the starting of the meal, it has to be lip-smacking for a wholesome experience.

Baguette is one of the best ingredient for an easy yet elegent appetizer. You could top or garnish it off with uber pretty other elements and achieve that perfect restuarant style dish.

Some of my favoutite picks

Call it Bruschetta or French bread pizzas.

3 Ingredients:

Baguette/Normal white/brown bread

Onions finely chopped

Tomatoes finely chopped

Toppings:

Grated Cheese

Parsley for garnish

Time:

15-20mins for 8 servings.

Method:

Toast the bread in medium heat till it turns brown and crisp.

Now, spread the chopped onions and tomatoes on the baguette with a little bit of salt and pepper.

Top it off with grated cheese and finely chopped parsley.

You could also drizzle some olive oil at the end.

Andddd there you go.. easy 3 ingredient tasty appetizer is readyyyy. Do give it a try.

Veg/Non-veg Momos

Ingredients:

For Veg filling:

Grated Cabbage

Grated carrots (Optional)

Grated onions

Grated ginger and finely chopped chillies.

You could use your favourite veggies of the season which you would like to fill inside your momos.

For Non-veg filling:

Chicken kheema (I like to use)

(Tip: if kheema isn’t ready available, you can put pieces of chicken breast in a mixer and you are good to go.)

Chopped chillies and grated ginger.

Time:

30-45mins for 20 momos.

The Dough:

In about 3 cups of all purpose flour, add a tablespoon of oil and a pitch of salt. Knead the dough adding water accordingly. Stop when the dough is tight. The dough shouldn’t be too soft otherwise it gets difficult to fold in the filling.

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together along with salt and pepper.

Add half a spoon of butter or vegetable oil.

Microwave the filling for about 5 mins.

Squeeze out all the water from the mixture.

(P.S: This is a very important step, otherwise your moms wont take the right shape.)

Now make small round shapes out of the dough and fill in one spoon of the mixture. Fold it in your desired shape. (Now that is the trickiest part. I will upload a video soon in this context.)

Put it in the steamer and wait patiently for 10mins.

Doneeeeee….
