It has been quite a while that I had been wanting to write on 3 certain breakfast or dessert
(cannot really categorize it) dishes that I tried and tested on some of my closest friends :p
One of them was a classic breakie plate made with strawberries and oats and a cup of yogurt. (3 Ingredients again)
The second was again a classic parfait.
Anddd the third was a strawberry based frozen yogurt.
Breakfast Plate
3-Ingredients:
1 cup cut strawberries
1 cup yogurt (Any flavor, but I like to use vanilla)
1/2 cup muesli
Time: 5-10 mins or even less.
Method:
In a ‘pretty’ plate, place the yogurt in the center, and around it the muesli.
Garnish with desired amount of strawberries.
Drizzle with honey.
KEEPIN IT PLAIN AND SIMPLE..
Strawberry Parfait
3-Ingredients:
1 cup cut strawberries
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1 cup whipping cream.
Time:
15-30mins for 3 Jars
Method:
In a pan, throw in the strawberries and 1/2cup sugar or honey. Keep it covered for sometime. You need to get a good compote kind of consistency. So, be patient.
As you see the contents literally melting down, keep stirring it till its thick.
Remove from flame.
Next, blend in the whipping cream and yogurt in a blender with a little bit of sugar.
Now all your parts are ready.
Pour in layer wise the 2 mixtures in a jar, starting with the whipping cream and yogurt mixture and then the compote. Finally, top it off with oats.
The Parfait is pleasing to the eye and mouth :$
Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
This Strawberry Frozen Yogurt recipe has just 3 simple ingredients: Strawberries, yogurt and honey.
Time: 10mins
Method:
Add the fresh strawberries, honey and yogurt in a blender. (You could alos add a spoon of lemon juice.)
Process until creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Make sure there are no lumps.
Transfer it to an airtight freezable container and freeze for a minimum 6 hours (preferably overnight.) Store it in the freezer for up to 1 month.
